Precautions for low-temperature antifreeze operation of RV

When the temperature is lower than 0°C in winter and the RV is not in use, the anti-freezing measures are as follows:

1. Drainage: Drain the pipeline to store water

1. Open the water tank valve, and the water tank is exhausted;

2. Turn on the water pump and each faucet (you can hit the hot and cold water gear respectively), and let the water pump work for 3~5 minutes until there is no water flowing out of the faucet and shower;

3. Open the low-temperature (cold water and hot water) discharge valve on the side wall or side of the cabin until no water flows out;

4. If conditions permit, you can drive the car to a place with an air source, adjust the air pressure to 0.4MPa, and then connect the air source to the camp water port or the base of the quick-plug faucet, and blow air into it until the water is exhausted.

2. Fill with antifreeze: The waterway pipeline is filled with food-grade antifreeze

1. Close the low-temperature discharge cold water (hot water) valve, connect the antifreeze filling professional tool to the camp water filling outlet, start the filling tool switch, and start filling antifreeze;

2. Observe the filling: screw the book faucet and shower shower handle to the maximum place of cold water and hot water respectively, observe whether each water node has colored liquid flowing out, which node has colored liquid flowing out and close which node, flush once after the toilet tank has antifreeze, the purpose is to flush antifreeze in the toilet sewer pipeline;

3. Filling completed: turn off the filling tool switch outside the car and disassemble the filling pipeline.

Return to normal use

When the temperature rises, drain the antifreeze as follows:

1. After opening the low-temperature water discharge valve, open the cold water and hot water switch at each water point in the car until there is no antifreeze flowing out, and then close the valve;

2. Add an appropriate amount of purified water to the water purification tank, turn on the RV water pump, turn on the switches of each water point (faucet, shower) respectively, and continuously flush the toilet at the same time. Until the food-grade antifreeze in the pipes is completely drained (the liquid flowing from the faucet and shower is colorless, and the liquid in the toilet tank and discharged is colorless), turn off the faucet and shower to complete the antifreeze discharge.
