The passenger car lights provide illumination for the passenger car. Traffic accidents at night are about three times that of the day. Traffic accidents on roads with good lighting conditions are only 30% of roads without good lighting or lighting conditions. Therefore, improving the quality of passenger car lights is of great significance to the driving safety of passenger cars.
Basic requirements for all types of passenger car lamps
The basic component of the passenger car luminaire assembly is the lighting group. The lighting group consists of three parts: the light source (light bulb), the mirror and the light transmission mirror.
Bus lamps can be divided into two categories according to their functions: lighting fixtures and signal lamps.
Lighting fixtures include: headlights (low beam and high beam), front fog lamps, reversing lights, sidelights, etc.
Signal lamps include: position lights, gallery lights, turn signals, brake lights, rear fog lights, license plate lights, and retroreflectors.
Among them, the front fog lights and the reverse lights are both lights and signal lights.
1. Headlight
Headlights, commonly known as headlights, can be divided into gas lamps (gas discharge lamps) and electric lamps (filament lamps) depending on the light source they are used for. The lights are further divided into incandescent lamps and tungsten halogen lamps. At present, the main light bulbs used in China, the headlights include low beam and high beam. The low beam is a close-up lighting fixture that is used when the other road users are in front of the vehicle, and does not cause the other party to be dazzling or uncomfortable, that is, the light used in the vehicle; the high beam is when the vehicle has no other road users in the foreword. Long-distance lighting fixtures used at the time.
2. Front fog lights
Mainly used to improve the lighting of roads in the case of fog, snow, rain or dust. To prevent the glare of the oncoming vehicle driver, the front fog light beam is projected closer to the ground than the low beam.
3. Other lamps
The position light, which is generally referred to as a small light, is mainly a light indicating the presence and width of the vehicle; the brake light is a brake light, which is viewed from the rear of the vehicle and indicates that the vehicle is braking. At present, the installation of the rear fog lamp, which is mainly in the case of heavy fog, is seen from the rear of the vehicle, making the vehicle more visible. Because of its strong penetrating power, it can greatly reduce the rear-end accident of passenger cars under bad weather conditions and prevent traffic accidents. The principle that the lighting fixtures and signal lamps are installed on the vehicle is that the reference axis of the luminaire should be parallel to the ground; the reference axis of the side reflector and the side position lamp is perpendicular to the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle, and the reference axes of other luminaires should be parallel to this The longitudinal center plane has a tolerance of ±3° in each direction. This installation principle is especially important for luminaires where the installation position is not adjustable except for the headlights and front fog lamps.
