Why Is The Cockpit Of The Ship Placed At The Stern? Is It Better To Put It On The Bow?

May 31, 2019

The cab of the passenger and small freighter (BRIDGE) is usually placed at the front of the ship for easy viewing. The large cargo wheel cab (BRIDGE) is usually placed in the middle and rear of the ship. The main considerations are:

1.The ship's engine room is usually placed in the rear of the ship. The upper part of the ship's cabin is not suitable for the cargo hold. The cab is placed on the upper part of the engine room to facilitate the control of the ship and save the ship's volume.

2. The bow is the most bumpy when sailing, and is not good for drivers and navigational instruments. Unless otherwise required, it is generally not appropriate to have the cab at the bow.

3. It is convenient to control the longitudinal strength and local strength of the ship.

Other ships have less influence on the above factors, so consider setting the cab at the bow.
