The SIP point of a car seat, also called r point or h point, corresponds to the intersection of the vertical surface in the longitudinal direction of the seat in the longitudinal direction of the greater trochanter (the hypothetical hinge axis between the human torso and the thigh). The middle vertical surface of the seat is certainly well-defined, but how should the greater trochanter be determined?
